Airport Corporation fined for lack of paperwork in demolition of houses
The Rhode Island Airport Corporation and two of its subcontractors are paying $25,000 in penalties for allegedly failing to make the necessary reports to the federal Environmental Protection Agency before demolishing homes with asbestos in the vicinity of the airport, EPA officials announced.
