Description
Rusk County is seeking a Project Manager to oversee the decommissioning and demolition of the old hospital/nursing home site at 900 College Ave. in Ladysmith. The Project Manager's main responsibilities will be to provide project leadership and contract management for the specified project, ensuring project delivery to a high standard, on time, on budget, and in compliance with all relevant legislation
Examples of Duties
- Responsible for ultimate decommissioning and demolition of old hospital/nursing home building.
- Development of management plans
- Provide weekly check-ins to Administrative Coordinator and monthly project reports to Property Committee detailing all financial, program, risk, delays, or any other major issues on project.
- Oversee subcontractors to ensure compliance e.g. having appropriate licenses, insurances, working under subcontractor terms.
Typical Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Project management experience
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude
- Ability to work independently and complete assignments within parameters of instructions
- Knowledge of decommission and demolition process
- Understanding of plumbing, electric, HVAC, boiler system, elevators, etc
