Demolition of Structures and Restoration of Land

The project consists of the demolition of structures on six (6) properties located in Wyoming and McDowell Counties in southern West Virginia. The structures are to be removed in their entirety and the disturbed areas are to be regarded and seeded to provide positive drainage and vegetative cover. This contract will contain two (2) Bid Schedules. Major items of work for Bid Schedule A include Seeding and Mulching, 0.5 Acre; Site Assessments for Hazardous Material, 2 Each; Testing for Hazardous Material, 16 Each; Demolition Plan, 1 Each; Hazardous Material Removal, 30 Cubic Yards; General Demolition Removal, 223 Ton; Rubble Demolition and Site Grading, 2 Each; Septic Tank Decommissioning, 2 Each; Surface Tank Removal, 2 Each. Major items of work for Bid Schedule B include Seeding and Mulching, 0.9 Acre; Site Assessments for Hazardous Material, 4 Each; Testing for Hazardous Material, 32 Each; Demolition Plan, 3 Each; Hazardous Material Removal, 90 Cubic Yards; General Demolition Removal, 376 Ton; Rubble Demolition and Site Grading, 4 Each; Septic Tank Decommissioning, 1 Each. The estimated price range for this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. The required performance time is 35 calendar days for Bid Schedule A and 36 days for Bid Schedule B. The Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be issued on, or about May 25, 2010. CHANGE: A Site Showing will be held at 10:00am (local time) on Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at the United States Post Office located in Wyoming County on State Route 10 in Bud, West Virginia. Interested offerors may register at http://www.fbo.gov to receive notification when the solicitation and any amendments are issued and available for downloading. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency.
