Contractor shall furnish all materials, labor, equipment, transportation necessary to complete the demolition of Quarters 114, Modular Bunkhouse located on the Browns Park National Wildlife Refuge in Moffat County, CO., containing asbestos floor tiles, an attached wood frame mud deck, radio tower, septic tank, and installation of minor items as part of the required restoration of the site. Remove all demolished materials from the property, the cleanup of existing debris and construction waste, and restore the site. Asbestos Floor Tiles must be removed in accordance with all state and federal requirements.Material removed during demolition work shall become the property of the Contractor except where noted in the contract documents or on the drawings.Restoration of the site will include grading, installation of minor electrical utilities, and a fire hydrant. LOCATION AND INSPECTION OF SITE Prospective bidders are highly encouraged to visit the work area in order to examine the existing site conditions by making arrangements with the Project Leader. Site Visit information will be listed in the solicitation. GENERAL INFORMATION The project will be solicited using SEALED BIDDING process through the issuance of an Invitation for Bid (IFB), with the intent to award a firm fixed price contract to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder as determined through a thorough responsibility determination as per FAR 9.104. The estimated magnitude of construction is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. The total performance period is 45 days from the Notice to Proceed. The solicitation package (IFB) is anticipated to be available electronically on or about 22 JUNE 2009 to all interested businesses with an anticipated closing date of 23 JULY 2009. Copies of the solicitation, specifications, and drawings can be obtained at http://www.fedbizopps.gov once available for issuance.
