Job Description

Arcadis is currently seeking an Environmental System Technician. This position will assist in a portfolio of sites with active operations and maintenance of soil and groundwater remediation systems (bioreactors, groundwater extraction/injection, soil vapor extraction, and product recovery), groundwater monitoring and sampling and subcontractor oversight. The ideal candidate will have remediation system operations and maintenance experience and an aptitude for mechanical and electrical problem solving. Other field work responsibilities can be learned on the job through training with experienced staff. This position can be located in either our Cranbury, NJ or Fair Lawn, NJ office.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

•Remediation system operation, maintenance, and monitoring
•Oversee subcontractors to perform selected operation, maintenance/repair of systems, preventative maintenance, and monitoring
•Implementation of various field activities including bail down testing, well development and repair, and decommissioning, waste management, etc.
•Construction oversight during excavation, treatment system construction, and facility demolition
•Soil, groundwater, and vapor sampling
•Site Inspections
•Participation in a Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV )Program
•Supervision of employees
