SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER, INFRASTRUCTURE

We are the Nor Cal area's premier mass and structural excavation contractor. Our services include demolition, mass excavation, structural excavation, utilities, grading and paving. We have been steadily growing and are selectively seeking to add a solid member to our team!

Job Responsibilities

  • Safety: Administers and enforces the design and execution of Project Safety Plan, in coordination with Superintendent and area Safety Rep.
  • Quality: Understands and embraces the philosophy of "Build it Right the First Time.
  • Production Management: Provides leadership to further the environment of "Production Management" (vs. Project Management) within their team that focuses on planning and being proactive vs. reactive.
  • Schedule: Responsible to manage work load on CPM schedule and work with project team for organized execution and delivery of work load as outlined with an accurate look ahead schedule.
  • Planning: Verifies and participates in the Work Plan process for all activities greater than 40 man-hours.
  • Submittals: Ensures submittals are completed in timely manner in accordance with project schedule.
  • Leadership: Provides leadership, guidance, direction and positive attitude to team members; mentor and coach others.
  • Change Management: Ensures change orders are drafted and executed for work prior to the work being done.
  • Cost Control: Responsible for accuracy of the data for the cost report and forecasting for their projects. Leads the reviews of production trends with team on a weekly basis. Implements corrective measures when applicable. Relentlessly drives for continuous improvement.

(Must Haves) You're a great fit if you have:

  • Minimum 4 year degree in construction
  • 10+ years of project management experience
  • Leadership skills, including communication and collaboration, with the ability to direct technical staff in a team-oriented manner.
  • You are adaptable. We are a fast-growing company with ambitious goals!
  • You are detail-oriented and a quick learner.
  • You are comfortable working with a team of A-players who are engaged and eager to learn from you.
  • You are an excellent communicator with experience preparing and producing plan sets.
  • Proven record in mid-sized and large underground projects
