With the number of models now at 12, the XT Mobile Shear line fits 27,000 to 180,000 pound excavators. Shorter in length and height and lighter in weight, the GXT features a center of gravity that is closer to the excavator, enabling models to mount on excavators that previously could only carry smaller, less powerful shears.
The GXT also features an apex, where most cutting is done, that is closer to the back of the jaws, improving material gathering and increasing cutting performance and efficiency while reducing maintenance.
Additional GXT models are planned, and the complete line will fit 20,000 lb. to 250,000 lb. excavators.
