Demolition of 2 MG Concrete Reservoir

Sealed bids for demolition of the City of Enumclaw’s 2 MG concrete reservoir will be received at the City of Enumclaw at 1309 Myrtle Avenue, Enumclaw, Washington 98022 until 11:00 a.m. on June 4, 2014. Bids will be opened, read, and tabulated immediately following. Proposals received after the time fixed for opening will not be considered.

The scope of the project includes demolition and disposal of a 2 MG concrete reservoir with asbestos abatement and minor grading and removal of existing debris piles, stumps, and vegetation. The estimated cost of the project is $350,000 to $450,000.

Bid Security: A certified or bank cashier’s check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid amount, payable to the City of Enumclaw, or bid bond executed by a licensed bonding company is required with each bid.

Rejection of Bids: The city shall have the right to reject any or all bids not accompanied by bid security or data required by the bidding document or a bid in any way incomplete or irregular. The City of Enumclaw is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer. Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (Small, Minority- and Women-Owned Businesses) are encouraged to submit bids. All work performed on the project will be subject to the higher of the prevailing state or federal wage rates.

This project is funded through the Washington State Drinking Water State Revolving Fund program with federal funds from the Environmental Protection Agency. DWSRF requirements and provisions must be met by general contractors and all subcontractors.

A non-mandatory, but recommended, pre-bid on-site visit to inside the secure, fenced area that the reservoir is located within is scheduled for Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at 11 AM.
